3 Things to Know About Before Remodeling Your Bathroom

Content originally published and Shared from http://perfectbath.com

Giving your bathroom a new look for the upcoming new year is a great way to indulge yourself after the busy schedule you’ve had during the holidays. But before you proceed on your plans, here are some pointers to consider:

Consider how long you won’t be able to use the bathroom
“How long does a bathroom renovation take?” Many people are surprised when they hear that a quality bathroom renovation takes about four weeks. Renovation shows are not reality!

Many people don’t have a spare bathroom they can use while the renovation takes place. If that’s the case for you, plan ahead. Hire a portable toilet or shower from a reputable builder, join a nearby gym (there are often free trials you can take advantage of) or consider renting elsewhere for a month while the job is done. None of these are ideal, but if you’re going to build a bathroom to last 20 to 30 years, that month of inconvenience will quickly be forgotten when you step inside Source: Houzz

Don’t forget to update the fixtures
No renovation is complete without remodeling or repairing fixtures and features, which could very well make a separate checklist themselves: shower, bathtub, toilet, bidet, sink, faucets and shower heads. You should also update or repair your mirrors and shower doors. You can also change the look of your bathroom very easily by changing out door handles, drawer pulls and the hardware for your shower doors. If you have the budget a new set of shower doors can completely change the look of your room. Source: Freshome

Order fixtures ahead of time
Regardless of whether you are buying from a high-street store or a high-end brand, factor in delivery times. Big name manufacturers might take three or four weeks to deliver, while luxury brands can take around eight weeks. Any custom products will take longer so give yourself plenty of wriggle room to avoid having contractors twiddling their thumbs on site. Source: IdealHome

IMPORTANT CONSIDERATIONS BEFORE BUYING AN INFRARED SAUNA

Content originally published and Shared from http://perfectbath.com

If you’re in the market for an infrared sauna, there are several key considerations to make to ensure you select the perfect sauna for your home

Numerous health gurus, fitness experts and medical doctors all agree – saunas, specifically infrared saunas, can deliver a whole host of important health and wellness benefits for people of all ages. From chronic illness to minimizing stress, improving the effectiveness of a workout to cleansing and purifying the skin, modern saunas combine today’s leading technological innovations with centuries-old wellness principles to deliver real, tangible health benefits for the sauna enthusiast. If you’re considering buying an infrared sauna for your home, make sure you ask the following questions:

  • What type of heating system is best?

Traditionalists will always seek a way to tout the benefits of a “hot-rock-and-steam” sauna, but the majority of new saunas produced today are outfitted with infrared heating elements – not the old-school heaters that create extraordinary amounts of steam within the sauna. Near-infrared and far-infrared only heating elements are available, but saunas that use Full Spectrum Infrared (near, mid and far infrared) are generally considered the best. This heating system promotes sweat and deep-body infrared wave penetration to eliminate toxins as efficiently as possible. One of the biggest benefits of an infrared sauna versus the traditional sauna is the lower operating temperatures afforded by the infrared heating element.

Discount Sauna benefits

  • What size sauna should I be looking for?

This obviously depends on your intended use.  If you will mostly be using the sauna by yourself, a compact sauna model might seem like the logical choice.  Many health-minded individuals use their sauna as a contained exercise room. You can add a different dimension to your yoga routine by doing it in a sauna, or add a twist to other exercises in your repertoire. Bottom line? Select a sauna that fits your home and your lifestyle, but make sure to account for future needs when narrowing down the overall dimensions.

  • What are the real-world health benefits of an IR sauna?

Your new infrared sauna will provide a host of tangible health and wellness benefits, with the eight most important sauna health benefits being:

  • Muscle pain relief
  • Immune system boost
  • Weight loss and increased metabolism
  • Detoxification
  • Joint pain and stiffness relief
  • Improved appearance of cellulite
  • Reduction in fatigue and stress
  • Improved skin tone and clarity

  • What kind of warranty does my sauna include?

Though a warranty is only one part of the equation, you’ll want to investigate the company and the warranty offered with each sauna. The warranty should cover the heater, electrical system, controls and other peripherals. Better companies will even cover accessories like audio and chromotherapy systems. Also, determine if the warranty will cover the sauna if the unit is used in a commercial location. If you’re looking for a new sauna for your office or commercial building, this is an important consideration. Most warranties are designed for home use and provide coverage in normal operating modes. Spend some time online, and research any consumer’s feedback of the company, including warranty-related issues.

When researching buying an infrared sauna for your home or office, there are various models available for your consideration that will perform admirably and last for years to come. Beauty Saunas Infrared Saunas are wildly popular today and combine several unique benefits for the discerning shopper. Beauty Saunas combine Full Spectrum Infrared heaters with kiln and air-dried wood structures for superior durability and performance. Far Infrared Saunas can also be enhanced with a number of options, such as chroma-therapy lights, custom interiors, sophisticated electronics packages, and more. And it’s all covered by the  Limited Lifetime Warranty for residential use. Even commercial-level users enjoy a lifetime warranty.

3 Tips for a Stress-Free Christmas Preparation

Eating together with the family is probably a Christmas tradition for most of us. If you’ll be hosting this year, follow these useful tips so that you can enjoy the time with your loved ones even more:

Don’t make dishes that are complicated

The temptation can be to try and pull out all the stops in the kitchen to impress friends and family.

But you are more likely to make tastier meals – and for a cheaper cost – by keeping things simple with fresh, seasonal produce, Jean-Marc said.

‘Fresh, seasonal produce is low-cost and will require minimal preparation in order to taste delicious,’ he said.

‘Be sure to opt for produce that can be re-purposed to suit different recipes, and be sure to use the appropriate section within your fridge in order to keep fresh for as long as possible.’ Source: DailyMail

Prep in advance

Do what you can the day before and take some of the stress out of the day – peel the vegetables, pre-boil your potatoes for roasting and sit them with some garlic overnight.

You can also prep the gravy the week beforehand – just have a roast chicken in the weeks leading up to Christmas and save all of that delicious juice and fat to make your gravy! All you have to do is freeze it in an airtight container and you’re ready to go. Source: GoodHousekeeping

Add your own touch to ready-bought ingredients

There’s a reason shops sell Christmas puddings and ready-made hams – so you can buy them at the last minute and then add your own touch. For example, buy individual Christmas puddings, but make a wickedly indulgent boozy custard, or grab a good-quality cooked ham, and choose an easy glaze recipe to make it special. Hide all the packaging and no one will know the difference. We even have a Christmas last-minute cheats recipe collection with lots of helpful shortcuts. Source: Taste

People are coming over and one of the things they’ll notice right away is your floor. If your carpet needs cleaning or repair, call us now before they arrive!

The household chore that we all probably hate most is cleaning the bathroom. It’s just so difficult to scrub stains once they’ve already built up. Don’t let your hard work go to waste by making your bathroom’s cleanliness last longer. Follow these amazing tips:

Take a little time to clean up your shower every day
Nothing helps delay mildew stains like a dry shower. Hang a squeegee over the shower head and make it a rule that the last one to take a shower wipes down the walls, tub, and shower doors. A couple extra minutes of work can really minimize cleaning time in the long-run.

You can also quickly zap moisture by opening a window and turning on the exhaust fan while showering. Leaving the door open, even a crack, helps it dissipate. And don’t forget to stretch the shower curtain open when it dries, too. Source: GoodHousekeeping

Tilt your head down when brushing your teeth
Well, I’ve always done it this way, but I see a lot of people who brush their teeth facing the mirror. You know what that does, though? It sends lots of little toothpaste bubbles on the mirror and everywhere on the countertop.

I’ve noticed that if I bow my head and keep it close to the sink, most of these bubbles end up in the sink and rinsed away. Silly? Maybe. But I find it saves me a lot of mirror-cleaning.  Source: TheSpruce

Put soap in the flush tank
You can either add a piece of soap to your flush tank or drop one of the ready-made toilet cleaner bulbs into the tank. In this way, your toilet bowl is getting cleaned every time you flush. Soapy water is slippery, so it doesn’t allow the stains to stick. Source: BoldSky

How To Get Guaranteed Auto Loan?

Credit Now Guaranteed Car Loans Check up | Credit Now Car Loans

For those in the market for a new car, many of you may be considering an auto loan to help you finance this purchase. That is the case for most drivers in Vancouver and the rest of Canada. Auto loans are a common practice in the country but can be an intimidating process for new drivers or those with bad credit. There’s also the chance that you go through the lengthy process of applying for a loan and at the end of it all, have your application denied.

Throughout this article we’ll give you a few tips to get a guaranteed auto loan regardless if you have bad credit or even no credit.

Credit Score

We’ve mentioned this many times before, but a credit score is the most important thing to consider when applying for a car loan. In fact, it’s the first thing that lenders and dealerships check for.

Your credit score indicates how financially responsible you are. Anything above 680 is generally considered a good credit score and anything below 620 is considered low. If you are sitting with low credit, this will signal to the lender that you are riskier to lend money to and will therefore charge a higher interest rate on your auto loan.

Before you go shopping, know what your credit score is. Not only will you be able to understand how much money you qualify for, but you may also be able to negotiate a better interest rate.

Look Outside the Dealership

If you are looking to get an auto loan through a dealership you may end up paying a higher rate. In some cases, they will try to raise interest rates and get more money from the borrower. In order to avoid this there are other financing options outside of the dealership to be aware of.

There are online financing options. This way you can see all the terms and conditions before you sign, so you know understand the rate you are paying for.

You can also get a pre-approval. This will show you the loan amount you are qualified for, making shopping easier and reducing your stress.

Additionally, if you know that your credit score has improved after a year, you can refinance your loan for better rates.

Get a Cosigner

Another way to guarantee your auto loan is to get a cosigner. This is an extremely viable option, especially for someone with no credit. Having someone cosign your loan agreement will decrease your interest rates but be sure that they are fully on board. In the eyes of the lender, the person that cosigns for your loan will pay the remainder if you, the borrower defaults. Think of it as insurance for the lender.

If you do go down this route, be sure that your cosigner has good credit. It indicates that they are financially responsible and are capable of repaying the loan. When applying for a loan with a cosigner, make sure you have a written agreement with them as well evidence of their ability to pay: pay stubs as well employment and residence stability are all essential pieces of information.

Collateral Loans

If you do have bad credit but own significant assets, like a house or property, you are still able to get better interest rates on your loan. For a collateral loan, you are offering your asset as insurance to the lender. This can lower your rates to something similar to someone with good credit. Collateral doesn’t have to be property, it can even be the car you were planning to purchase.

With collateral loans, we do recommend you use this as your last option. In the event that you do fail to repay the loan, they lender will most likely take the asset that you offered as collateral.

Therefore, we would recommend that you start off by first trying to lower your credit score. For more information on how you can improve your credit score, check out our guide here.

MVP PRO Auto Key Programmer Review | Mr. Locksmith Automotive

Automotive Locksmith MVP PRO Auto Key Programmer Review | Mr. Locksmith Automotive

For further information go to www.mrlocksmith.com

My daily Auto Key Programmer is the HotWire and the MVP Pro. I am on the unlimited token plan for both programmers. For the past 5+ years, I have been purchasing and testing “Offshore Auto Key Programmers.”

I have several Off Shore MVP clones. The price was so low, we keep on testing to see if any Off Shore Key Programmer could replace our existing programmers.

The MVP Clones are poorly made and no consistency or reliability with the software.

One Off Shore clone will program Ford and Chrysler but not Honda. Another identical clone will do Honda but not some Fords.
Another clone may work on a Nissan, but no one unit will do everything. It’s just been a zero.

So we kept on buying these, kept on testing them. Our dongles would break. The units would break. They’d fall apart. The software was inconsistent.

However, we found one clone that consistently worked well with Honda reflashes, specifically the 1998-2002 Honda Preludes.

In the early day we were just trying to save tokens, and really did we save any money? No, the clones were not good. There’s no consistency.

But again, if you don’t try, you don’t know. And there are some good units out there that the Chinese are coming out with now that are making some of the good stuff look bad.

Some of the new offshore auto key programmers they are using their own software, their own designs, and they are not clones or scammer units. Some of the Off Shore Key Programmers actually seem to be getting there.

Well, they’re coming out with nice updates on them, so they are becoming consistent.

The thing is with everything, you could have an Offshore made, really good programmer, and now they have counterfeit units of that that are total garbage.

So why are some of these Auto Key Programmers $300 and the other unit’s $50? The $50 unit is a total clone and it’s a total piece of garbage. How do you know? You don’t. That’s the big problem.

One way to find out is if you read the automotive forums.

Talk to other Locksmiths and view our videos.

The various plugins quality was all over the map. Some very good forums on Facebook, KeyPro website, ClearStar, etc.

So far, again, we’ve talked about this before, our go-to units are the MVP Pro and Hotwire.

One of my go-to books for making keys to cars and motorcycles is “2015 Edition FAST FACTS — 1965-2015 Auto’s and Cycles” by Robert G Sieveking from Sieveking Products Company. This is a great book. This is the 2015 version. Every two years, a new updated version comes out.

This is my go-to fast book when I’m talking to customers when I’m going out to the job, it has most if not all of the domestic automotive, five-ton trucks, highway trucks, and it also has extensive motorcycles. This is a fantastic book, I highly recommend it.

The “Helps Section” gives pointers and many specific transponder programming procedures that have been tested and proven in actual use. GM VATS system information, key progressions and special notes on a number of autos give you the benefit of nearly 40 years of “on the road” experience. The motorcycle index is the largest listing of 2-wheeled vehicles anywhere.

Fast Facts™ is the premier Locksmiths reference to foreign & domestic auto and motorcycle keys. Fast Facts™ is an encyclopedic listing of cars and motorcycles found in the North American Market from 1965 to present. In its 11th Edition (2010-15) the fast Facts™ book is a “Must-Have” item for all locksmiths that make keys for autos and motorcycles. Much expanded for 2015. There are now over 200 motorcycle key plates and 638 auto key plates. Many new or changed transponder Facts. The Index lists 3761 autos and over 1400 motorcycles.
Exclusive “Lay Flat” plastic spiral bound Desk Size is easier to use. When open, the book will not close like perfect bound books will do.
Fast Facts™ presents a Clear, Concise and Fully Indexed key making guide for autos and motorcycles. The NEW expanded motorcycle model index lists over 1400 motorcycle models, plus an additional 15 pages of Chinese and Korean motorcycles, scooters and handicap electric motorized chairs. Everything is at your fingertips. Fast Facts™ is clearly illustrated and fully indexed. Fast Facts contains more information than any other publication of its kind.

Mr. Locksmith Automotive is reviewing the Hot Wire Automotive Key Programmer. I absolutely love this product. It was one of the first programmers I bought. We use two major Automotive Key Programmer, the MVP Pro and we the Hot Wire.

Hot Wire is it is PC based. It goes through a box and it plugs into the OBDC unit. It’s the most idiot-proof key programmer you can find out there.

The interface is so simple you don’t even need to read the manual. All you do is pick out your year, make, and model and plug it in. Turn the key to run and hit enter. The interface is unbelievably good. I absolutely love this. For beginners or advanced automotive locksmiths.

The MVP Pro is the bleeding edge and can do more autos. However, the Hot Wire is easier, quicker to use but again we had the other day where the MVP Pro wouldn’t program a vehicle, the Hot Wire did it.

In the past, I had two Mustangs side by side, same year, same model. The Hot Wire would program one but wouldn’t program the other. The MVP Pro would program the other unit but wouldn’t program the one that the Hot Wire would do. That’s a constant battle with cars. It happens.

We are making keys to cars every single day. This is what we find and we can’t do without two programmers. Nobody can.

That is why we keep on trying some of the offshore versions just to see how they go. We’re always evaluating them.

Again, if you are starting out and you’re coming into a good standard unit, this is the way to go. It’s simple, it’s easy, it’s to the point, and you can’t make a mistake. You really cannot make a mistake.

I love the tablet-based Hot Wire because it’s all in one unit.

We are subscription based on one of our Hot Wires and one we have purchased the software for the most popular autos.

No matter what anybody says, we haven’t found one key programmer that does everything.

If the manufacturer’s want to disagree, I’m waiting for that holy grail. That one machine.

3 Tips for Hosting a Holiday Party

Holidays are so much better when you spend them with people you love. If you’re planning on hosting a party this year, you may want to take a look at the following tips to guarantee a very merry celebration.

3 Tips for Hosting a Holiday PartyImage Source: Flickr

Prep ahead of time

Make as much of the food and drinks ahead of time as you can. Of course, some things cannot be made beforehand, but try to get all of your prep work done as early as possible. If you’re organized and have everything ready when the party starts, you’ll be better able to attend to your guests. Source: MarthaStewart

Play festive music

Set the mood with a homemade CD or computer playlist of holiday songs. It’s easy to make and you’ll get to hear your favorite mix of seasonal tunes. Remember to keep the music low — conversation is what counts at any celebration, writes caterer extraordinaire Sheila Lukins in her party-themed cookbook Celebrate.

Try to avoid musical selections with lyrics during the dinner hour, which causes competition between the lyrics and the scintillating dinner conversation that could go unheard. Source: HGTV

Light the place right

As far as the impact on the ambience of a room, lighting is right up there next to music. If you have a fireplace, then a roaring fire is a must. With the exception of the dining room chandelier, overhead lighting should stay off, or at least be dimmed.

To create a warm environment, your lighting scheme should include multiple sources. Table and floor lamps illuminate conversation areas, while candles provide mood lighting throughout. If you want to add a lighting effect, use uplighting to highlight your Christmas tree or mantel décor. Source: Lifestyle.HowStuffWorks
